Harvest Light

Fine Art Giclée Print

Artwork Description

Capturing the warm, luminous glow of the late-season sun as it bathes the Welsh countryside in rich, golden light.

With "Harvest Light", I wanted to capture that quiet, atmospheric stillness of the landscape as late summer turns into autumn, when the low sun transforms familiar fields into deep, shifting colours.

Sweeping ochre tones and deep violet tracks capture the quiet atmosphere of the land after the harvest. Warm, low light breaks across the worked fields, contrasting with the cool, brooding treeline on the horizon.

This was painted using watercolour, acrylic ink and oil pastel on paper, building up layers of mark-making and tactile surface depth to evoke the physical warmth of the earth, the lingering heat of the day, and the tranquil stillness of the changing seasons.
